Overview
Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, situated on the northern fringe of Kathmandu Valley, is home to Shivapuri Peak, the second highest point on the valley rim at 2,732 m. From the peak and surrounding viewpoints, enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna (8,091 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Langtang (7,246 m), Jugal Himal, Gaurishankar (7,134 m), and the entire Kathmandu Valley. This 7 hour hike offers an ideal opportunity to experience the park’s rich natural beauty, passing through pristine forests, terraced hills, and serene trails. Along the way, we visit Nagi Gumba (nunnery) for a peaceful lunch and glimpse into monastic life, and continue to Kapan Monastery, known for its tranquil courtyards and colorful prayer walls. This trek perfectly blends nature, culture, and breathtaking Himalayan vistas in one unforgettable day.
