Overview
The Nar and Phu Valley Trek, located north of the Annapurna range in Nepal's Trans-Himalayan area, is one of the most culturally fascinating and scenically breathtaking trekking experiences in the Himalayas. This isolated valley remained a mystery until it was opened to foreign trekkers in 2003, conserving its ancient beauty and authenticity. The region is famous for its Tibetan Buddhist culture, which includes medieval villages, centuries-old monasteries, and untouched alpine landscapes. Surrounded by rugged peaks, narrow gorges, and high mountain passes, the trek includes crossing the spectacular Kang La Pass (5,306 m), which rewards trekkers with breathtaking panoramic views and connects the valley to the Annapurna region. Beautifully less crowded, the Nar and Phu Valley Trek is ideal for those seeking a true off-the-beaten-path adventure, offering rich culture, dramatic scenery, and an authentic Himalayan lifestyle for a truly unique and rewarding experience in Nepal.
